IEA CUTS 2011 OIL DEMAND ESTIMATES BY 90,000 BARRELS A DAY
UNITED KINGDOM
London – In its monthly bulletin, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has cut 2011 oil demand estimates by 90,000 barrels a day, due to deteriorating global economic prospects. According to the agency, these estimates may be cut further should the global economy slow down even more. Estimates for demand for oil in 2012 have instead been reviewed upwards by 50,000 barrels a day.
