U.K. TO RELY ON WIND AND GAS TO REPLACE OLD NUCLER POWER STATIONS
UNITED KINGDOM

There are eight new projects already at an advanced stage that should be completed within a year. Concern over emissions from coal plants, and the length of time needed to build new nuclear power stations, have encouraged the government to rely on wind and gas.
