Ras Al Khaimah - Rak Petroleum Public Company Limited, a privately owned company based in the United Arab Emirates, and Dno International Asa, an independent company based in Oslo, have announced that their respective shareholders have approval the merger. The transaction will be finalized early in 2012. Rak Petroleum's president and CEO and Dno International Asa's CEO, Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani, said that the new Dno International will boast a portfolio of diversified interests in the Mena area, as well as a significant presence on the territory and the competence of its teams of international experts.
