China Oil. Energy for the future

An opportunity or a threat? An immense market with enormous resources or a closed and distant world? A potential partner or a ruthless competitor? In recent years, China has stepped into a leading role on the international stage, causing political and economic leaders, as well as the public in other countries, to ask a series of questions that Oil attempts to answer with a special issue and with a round table, held on December 14th in Shanghai. The debate was attended by, Lifan Li, a professor at Shanghai's Academy of Science and by Molly Moore, Senior Vice President of the Sanderson Strategies Group. The debate was introduced by Gianni Di Giovanni, Oil's editor-in-chief and was moderated by Roberto Donà, Director of the Bocconi Univeristy's DDIM Programme.
