Algeri - Algeria has launched a new  bid round for licenses in ten areas in which there are oil and gas fields. Companies will have to present bids before March 3rd 2011. This is the first bid round after the replacement of the legendary Minister of Energy Chakib Khelil and was announced by the state authority Alnaft. The last two rounds did not achieve the hoped for success and in the one held last December only three of the ten bids were allocated.
